The equipment at the customer location is a T1 Channel Service Unit [CSU/DSU], which

is connected an Ethernet Switch and then the View Station. At the head end, the Encoder

is connected to an Ethernet Switch and then the T1 CSU/DSU. This is a dedicated,

full-time 1.544 Mbps circuit. The customer can save considerable money by purchasing

a “Partial T1” from the phone company and only get the bandwidth that fits their budget.

The Encoder/View Station combination will work well at speeds from 500Kbps to 2 Mbps.
